Is this pfft once again? You know the noise made when the air, just rushes out of the balloon. At first there is that big bright, shinning promise, like the big, happy face of a balloon filled with air or even helium and then well, pfft. Such is the case with the non-arrest and the non-indictment of one Donald John Trump 45th President of the United States.
Last week he, himself, one Donald John Trump 45th President of the United States, announced that he would be arrested on Tuesday March 21st, just in time for spring. There has been a grand jury convened and looking into hush money paid to one Stormy Daniels, former Sex Worker and aging Porn Star. This of course this is a felony called bribery, even if the payment didn't work out too well. She didn't keep her mouth shut and the payer, Mickey ex-felon Cohen, went to prison. So would one ex-president get indicted, arrested? BTW shouldn't ex-Sex Worker and aging Porn Star Stormy Daniels be indicted and arrested for bribery as well? If paying a bribe is a crime, then certainly taking one is too.
But come Tuesday March 21, nothing happened. We thought something was fishy when not too many outlets of the Mass Hysteria were purporting anything about it. They should have been having an absolute hissy fit. But only the NY Post ever undaunted, said this Grand Jury would reconvene on the Wednesday. But then the Wednesday came and went and nothing. In between all this, Republican members of Congress began to ask what was this all about? How could some DA in New York City who doesn't seem to want to indict or try anyone, arrest, indict and try an ex-President on a now 7 year old case? Especially when there is written court documents in which one Mickey Cohen, ex-lawyer and ex-con, the guy who paid the ex Sex Worker and aging Porn Star, that states he paid her on his own and the ex-President knew nothing about it?
All kinds of questions from this story were dancing in the heads of all concerned, like sugar plum fairies on Christmas Eve. Would the DA indict, arrest and try the ex-President? Would a jury convict? If convicted, how much time would the ex-President get? Would he be out of prison in time to run for President in 2024? If not, could he run for President from his jail cell? There is precedent here, as one James Traficant, ran for his Congressional seat while incarcerated at Allenwood Federal Penitentiary. He lost. But what would happen if the ex-President won? What would the inauguration look like? Cabinet meetings? Press Conferences? Would the nuclear football be in his prison cell?
But then Thursday came and went, and Friday and the only thing heard was the NYC DA Bragg, complaining, that how dare anyone, Congress in this case, question his Grand Jury proceedings? Maybe this Grand Jury will indict this week or next week or the next? Or will this will just be another pfft.
